ATLANTA, Jan. 16 -- Atlanta’s oldest hospital launched its redesigned homepage Website today, bringing the 129-year-old healthcare provider to the forefront of online marketing and communications.
Saint Joseph’s Hospital contracted
AVID Design to optimize the homepage of
www.stjosephsatlanta.org, which included a graphical redesign and information delivery streamlining. Key additions, revisions and updates included:
- Hannon Hill’s Cascade Server integration: AVID Design restructured the site by taking advantage of Hannon Hill’s powerful web content management (WCM) solution that was already in place.

Layout refinement and expanded content: AVID Design optimized the site’s layout so it can more properly accommodate more content—in particular, more news and public relations information.

Viewing optimization: AVID Design improved so-called “conversion areas” to provide a more efficient engagement between Saint Joseph’s written and visual content and its online guests.

Creation of media library page: Users can easily discover and navigate links that access all of Saint Joseph’s physician/patient videos (many of which were produced by AVID Design).

Improved Flash component: Saint Joseph’s front page now features a Flash-based banner that showcases the hospital’s six major service lines and initiatives (bones & joints, cancer, digestive, heart, research and robotics).
