ATLANTA, Dec. 17—Each holiday season, many companies send out traditional Christmas cards to employees, clients and business partners. Perhaps a reflection of its creative and innovative nature, healthcare interactive marketing design group AVID Design did things just a bit differently—as they did with their Sounds of Christmas “interactive Christmas card” that was released today.
The highlight of the “card”—actually an interactive Web page and CD—is a humorous send-up of sappy late-night music compilation infomercials. Featuring AVID Design employees that act and “sing” lip-synched spoofs of George Michael’s “Last Christmas,” Boyz II Men’s “Let It Snow” and other holiday tunes by pop music acts, the card is as much satire as it is a showcase of AVID Design’s acclaimed full-scale marketing communications talents.
Written, filmed, edited and produced at AVID Design—including its state-of-the-art
full-service video production studio—the interactive card shows a lighter side of a company that is best known for its work with hospitals and healthcare systems.
“Rather than sending clients the traditional Christmas cards that get lost in the shuffle, we’ve created a fun way to share the holiday spirit with clients while also taking advantage of our phenomenal talents and facilities,” said AVID Design Executive Director Tom Brand.
This year’s card/video is the third consecutive year that AVID Design produced a humorous holiday video. “Our interactive Christmas cards have been an annual thing—and I’ve been told by some clients that they look forward to receiving them, so each year, we try to outdo the previous one,” said Brand.
