ATLANTA and SAN DIEGO, July 21—Atlanta healthcare interactive marketing group, AVID Design, recently redesigned and redeveloped Palomar Pomerado Health’s (PPH) intranet site, PPH.net, to help improve the way content is delivered to employees, while allowing them to fully engage with the intranet site more.
PPH is currently building a new hospital which will involve many employees moving locations in 2012. Concerned with getting information to employees about its move, PPH needed a tool to communicate this transformation process.
AVID Design delivered an intranet to PPH that serves as a communication hub and improves internal communications within PPH’s multi-hospital system.
Employing best practices for intranet design to include a user-friendly approach, consistent navigation and an engaging homepage full of multiple dashboards for more personalization and accessibility, AVID Design was able to support PPH’s vast array of users to:
- Encourage frequent usage
- Enhance the interactive experience
- Enable them to quickly find relevant information
- Advance their ability to manage departmental content
Built on AVID Design’s propriety AVID CMS™, the system allows users to conveniently remain within one site instead of commuting to other offsite/third party locations to access dispersed content. Additionally, several CMS application extensions were incorporated in the design, such as: AVID Design is also redesigning a separate, branded site specifically for physicians, or a physician portal, that caters solely to the diverse needs of physicians. The physician portal is scheduled to launch in September 2010.
Along with the development of this communication hub, AVID Design’s CaptivCast™ digital signage system is fully ingrained in a total marketing approach to PPH’s employees. They’ve incorporated digital signage in all areas, such as in staffing areas, nurse’s stations, cafeterias, break rooms, etc. to push out segmented messages to their staff.
