AVID Design recently redesigned and relaunched
Palmoar Pomerado Health’s physician portal, MD Wired, to cater to the diverse needs of physicians.
As typical for many hospitals, communicating with physicians proves to be a challenge. PPH wanted to enhance communication efforts with their physicians and provide a central location for physicians to get information that is specific to them, such as:
- Information about PPH
- Access to quick, relevant links
- Updates on hospital protocols and requirements
The redesigned physician portal provides single sign-on access to 3rd party applications that physicians need access to on a daily basis, such as:
- Cerner
- Xpand
- Physician order sets
“Seeing the excitement over and success from PPH’s intranet, we are thrilled that PPH’s physicians now have similar tools that will ultimately allow them to access valuable information to them, as well as foster communication between them and the marketing department,” said AVID Design Director of Web Development Andy Darnell.
The physician portal will serve as a foundation for expansion into more integrated portal applications in the future.
