AVID Design Names Brad Beasley as VP Business Development
Military veteran will head up firm’s new AVID GOV services division
ATLANTA (September 06, 2005) – AVID Design announced today that Brad Beasley has been named as the firm’s vice president of business development for its new AVID GOV services division. A retired colonel in the U.S. Army, Beasley will help to pursue business opportunities for AVID Design in public sectors.
Beasley also brings to AVID Design experience as a government contractor and project director with Serco, Inc. (formerly Resource Consultants, Inc.). At the project director level, he served at Serco’s Atlanta Business Center as business development coordinator for the Department of the Army. His 25-year military career included a myriad of command and staff positions, from platoon through Department of the Army level.
He holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Central State University, and an M.S. degree in Personnel Administration from Central Michigan University.
“Our new AVID GOV services division will enable us to better extend our solutions to Federal and State organizations that want to communicate and educate more effectively through New Media,” said AVID Design Executive Director Tom Brand. “Brad offers more than two decades of senior leadership and management experience in both public and private sectors. In the past, AVID Design has handled government-related projects for Lockheed Martin, the U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM), U.S. Army Europe (USAREUR) and Celebrating Rural Georgia.
AVID Design also announced today that it has achieved certification as a Small Business by the U.S. Small Business Administration, and is listed as a Trading Partner in the government’s Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system.
