Catholic Health Services, the largest post acute provider in the southeastern US, serves more than 6,000 people a day in their Miami area hospital and rehabilitation facility.  Because they service such a wide population and have limited time for website updates, they asked AVID Design to create a clean, easy-to-manage solution to keep up with their busy online community.

AVID Design created a clean web architecture and content layout on the AVIDCMS™ that reflected the mission and branding of Catholic Health Services and made it easy for users to navigate. CHS also elected to have their website hosted on AVID Design’s state-of-the-art hosting server environment with 24/7 data security and high-performance IP connectivity.

In addition to the main website, AVID Design also designed and implemented two microsites, Catholic Hospice and Catholic Cemeteries, to allow CHS to publish their service information separately from their other offerings. AVID Design also created the Grail, which is the Catholic Health Services intranet site. All of these sites are hosted in the same AVIDCMS™ to make site management effective and efficient.

AVID eTools™

Careers – Catholic Health Services uses the AVID Design Careers eTool™ to make it easy for users to search for and apply to open employment opportunities. CHS can easily manage and choose the most suitable candidates for each job using the administrative side of the Careers eTool™.

Media Center – CHS uses the Media Center eTool™ to manage and display their news stories, extensive photo galleries, and video library. AVID Design customized the Photo Gallery module so that the photos can be uploaded from one convenient place and published to both the main site and the intranet.

 

Monthly Support Contract

Catholic Health Services has found that it works best for them to maintain a monthly support contract with AVID Design. This block of hours allows CHS to approve a larger quantity of time through their budget process and then initiate smaller projects quickly for a fast turnaround.
